There are three parts to this assessment.  

  1. Identify a concept, definition, or research result in this unit that interests you. Unit topics that you can use should come from Stereotyping, prejudice, discrimination or Persuasion.
  2. Find a New York Times article that relates to your chosen topic. (The syllabus has a link to sign up for Penn State New York Times digital access.)
  3. Explain how the NY Times article you have identified relates to the concept, definition, or research you have chosen from this unit. 

There are three ways you can complete this assignment. The first is to use the tools within Canvas to enter your answers to each question. Choose the text tool (T) and click in the space following each question to insert your answers.

If the annotation option does not work for you, there are two other options. One is to copy and paste the three questions into the text entry box and then add your answers. The other option is for you to create a file on your computer or mobile device and then upload that file.
