Assignment 11.1: Free Trade

Directions: Write a 1,500 to 2,000 word paper on the following:  Recently, there has been a lot of discussion in both the US and in other countries about whether free trade is good or bad for a countrys economy.  Outline, in a thoroughly researched paper, the arguments for and against international trade.  Discuss why different interest groups might come to different conclusions as to why it is beneficial or not as well as some barriers that might arise to free trade.  Should these barriers exist or is free trade always and everywhere a good thing? Be sure to defend your answer.
