  • Explain in painful detail what you expect to find and how the world works such that you will find it.
  • What logic/theory would result in the opposite? What is wrong with how your theory described the world? Consider competing theories.
  • Does your reasoning differ or is it the same as how previous authors have reasoned?
  • Does your reasoning have implications for the data values that has not previously been examined?
  • Where else have the theories seemed true or false?
  • What do the theories imply about things that we can and can’t observe (start thinking about data)?
  • Be sure to illustrate any important contextual details that were not mentioned in the previous section (this may be lengthy).
  • This section may use math or graphs, but they are not necessary.

You will:

  • Give this section a titled heading and include your previous TP assignments in the same document.
  • Write in paragraph form and use citations correctly.
