Group Oral Presentations on Legal Issues

Read the material in the syllabus related to mental health and nursing laws, present the following issue:

CA Board of Registered Nursing definitions of negligence and competent practice as they apply to mentalhealth nursing practice (include issues of advocacy and reporting abuse of dependent adults) 

The purpose is to ensure that all students are familiar withCalifornia law pertaining to mental health nursing. Each group will use additional materials from the clinical setting to outline the provisions of the law. Each group will use situations orinterviews from the clinical setting to illustrate how the law applies to a particular patient or nurse
