Assignment Instructions
For your first writing assignment, you’ll be asked to compare and contrast the different insurance delivery methods described in this module.
These include:
- Preferred provider organizations (PPOs)
- Healthcare maintenance organizations (HMOs)
- Point-of-service plans (POSs)
- Patient-centered medical home plans (PCMHs)
- Accountable care organizations (ACOs)
Be sure to describe the strengths and weaknesses of each plan.
Your focus areas should be:
- Patient access and care
- Cost and efficiency
- Viability for long-term, sustainable use
Because this is an economics course, cost analysis should comprise the bulk of your paper. You’ll need to use at least three outside, cited sources, and your essay must be a minimum of 750 words. Remember to use correct APA format.
