Designing a Wireless Network Final Project
Assignment Overview
Throughout this course, you have learned about wireless networks and have applied those concepts to a real-world case study involving a particular business setting. The Design Document has been utilized to capture several components, from the design and requirements of the network to the budget. In this assignment, the project will culminate into a final presentation that includes all of the work completed on the Design Document.
Bank case study
Final Document
Directions: Complete the Design Document by filling out the “Detailed Design Documentation” and “Cost Analysis” sections. These sections should align with the “Equipment Needs and Proposed Budget” section completed in Part 1; however, changes and additions may have been made throughout the design process. The “Detailed Design Documentation” and “Cost Analysis” sections should be viewed as summative sections at the end of the design, compared to the estimations made in Part 1 at the beginning of the design.
Presentation
Directions: Create a presentation that showcases your work throughout this course. Include:
The completed “Detailed Design Documentation” and “Cost Analysis” sections, as well as the work completed in all parts throughout the course.
A plan for testing the wireless network you designed, which includes tools needed
The presentation should be approximately 10–15 minutes long and include relevant images.
Wireless Network Simulation
Directions: Using Packet Tracer, create a wireless network similar to what you would design for your assigned business. Test to see if one PC can ping the other PC on your wireless network. Include the following, at a minimum, in the network you design using Packet Tracer:
Router
Switch
2 Computers with wireless connection
Wireless Controller
Wireless Access Point.
