To begin, read Anne Lamott’s “First Drafts”(see attached) article. Think about the message Lamott (1994) is conveying to her readers. She is telling you that you should embrace the writing process, not limit your voice, and write that first draft. It is natural that the first draft is not perfect and that writing is a process.

Now that you know you might not have a perfect first draft of the paper (and that it’s okay!), it is time to get started.

Your final research project assignment is to write an 8–12 page academic paper about your global ethical dilemma.

Using any feedback you received on your outline, fully draft your paper.

  • Use APA format (student version), including a title page. All your resources should be properly cited and referenced.
  • Avoid using personal pronouns (I, me, we, us/you, your, our, etc.) and use a professional/academic tone throughout your writing.
  • Make sure you understand the importance of the thesis statement by viewing,(https://owl.excelsior.edu/writing-process/thesis-sentence/)
  • You should also complete (https://owl.excelsior.edu/writing-process/essay-writing/essay-writing-traditional-essay-structure/) and (https://owl.excelsior.edu/research/drafting-and-integrating/) so you are better prepared to turn in a high-quality draft.
