Position Paper Outline APA format

Using the instructions from the Final Project, create an outline for your Position Paper. Your outline should include a list of resources you plan to use in your position paper, cited appropriately using APA formatting. You should plan on using 3-5 sources for this part of your final project.

To facilitate the correct construction of the assignment (rather than waiting until the day before it is due and throwing some things together), you create outlines for each part.

Your outline should include a thesis statement (the main argument you are making) and three warrants to support that statement. You will use supporting materials to back those warrants. Your outline should follow the below format (or something similar), using full sentences and the references you plan to use for this part of the final project. Remember, this is an outline, not the whole paper.

7. third main point to support your thesis – this should be a clear statement that supports your thesis AND be different from the first two arguments. They should build on each other. You will also include which articles will be used to support this idea (articles may be used in more than one place)

III. Conclusion

1. restatement of the thesis – you are using this as a transition into the conclusion.
2. a conclusion to the paper – make it clear that this is the wrap-up and make us happy we read this paper.
