Discussion
Give an example of count data, binary data, attribute or categorical data, and continuous data. For example, I started counting passenger vehicles for an experiment. Each vehicle that passed by was recorded as count data (whole numbers). I could divide them up into two groups, cars and everything else (trucks, bulldozers, mopeds, etc.) which was binary. I could also put them into groups of color, which is attribute data. I could also record their speed, which is continuous data. Make this fun and you have to include all the types to get full credit.
Purpose: To apply the data terms to everyday objects allows a better understanding of how to apply the use of charts and graphs.
