CREATING A DATA SET
You will create a data set that will become the basis of your assignments for the rest of the course.

Instructions:
- You were assigned a random number greater than 50.My number is 54
- The original Excel file titled “BODY DATA.” See attached excel document.
- Start a new Excel file. Copy and paste all column names from the original document.
- Using the random number provided by your Instructor,(54),go to that numbered row of the “BODY DATA” file.
- Copy and paste the number of rows of data equal to your number into your new Excel file, including all columns.
- Save this data set as
- Create two new columns. Label one column “BMI Smokers” and the other column “BMI Nonsmokers.”
- Sort the data by smoking status. Then, copy and paste all BMI data for smokers into the appropriate column. Do the same for the BMI data for nonsmokers.
Write a discussion post withthe following:
- Explain the process you used to create your data set so that another individual could recreate the same exact data set.
- Choose one variable that is qualitative, and then identify that variable. Explain why it is qualitative.
- Choose one variable that is quantitative, and then identify that variable. Explain why it is quantitative.
- For the two columns you previously chose, identify the level of measure for each column. Justify your reasoning.
