1. Consider the challenges facing global leaders in your industry today. Thinking back on the interview with Ken Wilcox, how would you, as a leader in your organization, address the major environmental forces (both internal and external) in your industry today?
2. Consider the use of 3BL in your industry and the research paper from Week 2 on triple bottom line accounting. Thinking about the current state of globalization and the Stakeholder Model of Sustainable Business (Chs. 4 and 11) (pp. 107-108),and the research of Hogan, Paige, and Wade, what are some areas for improvement in your industry, and what actions are being taken in your industry/company to create sustainable practices?
3. After reviewing the UN Sustainable Goals (Ch. 4 and links in Canvas) and the research paper of McInnis, Hutchins, and Dunn, discuss which of the sustainable goals has the greatest relevance to your industry and how you see actions toward the goal(s) manifest in the strategic focus of your industry/company.
4. After reviewing Chapters 5-6 and the research papers of White, Weathersby, and Kelly AND Claytor, Price, and Seaton, discuss the connections between political changes and socioeconomic factors and both have influenced each other and your industry.
5. After reviewing Chapter 6 and the research of Battle, Dlugech, and McDaniel, discuss the challenges your industry faces in the protection of intellectual property and the actions being taken to protect IP in your industry/company.
6. After reviewing Chapter 8 of the textbook and the research of Butler, Morgan, and Phillips, discuss concerns in your industry about the recent banking crisis and measures being taken to manage risk in your industry/company.
7. After reviewing Chapter 13 and the research of Gatewood, Horst, and Phan, discuss how supply chain issues have impacted global markets and sourcing in your industry/firm.
8. After reviewing Chapter 14 and the research of England, Carr, and Varnado, provide your thoughts on how international human resource management will change in the next 20 years and what you believe will be the driving forces in your industry/company.
