Introduction to the Informed Consent Process

Rationale and Purpose

Rights and Expectations of Group Members
DELETE! Discuss the rights and expectations of the group members. Also, discuss the ethical considerations (including potential risks, confidentiality, termination) and what ethical code will be utilized (what parts specifically) in creating and maintaining the group’s functioning. CACREP Sec.2.F.6.g.
Group Leader Information
DELETE! Name(s) of the group leader(s), degrees, professional and personal backgrounds and experiences, qualifications for leading groups, and other pertinent information. Describe the leadership or facilitation style and characteristics the group leader will require to be a good fit for the group. CACREP Sec.2.F.6.g.
Basic Ground Rules
DELETE! What are the general and specific rules that each participant will be required to follow in order to remain in the group? There should be no more than five rules. These rules serve to protect the rights of all participants. A bullet list format can be utilized.
Pre-Group Screening and Selection

Practical Considerations/Preparation

- List at least two resources in APA FORMAT that support the use of this theory.
