Video Analysis of Teaching:

• You will watch videos of bilingual education and English as a New Language classrooms (approximately 30 minutes of video) and take low inference notes with guidance from the reading by City et by Reynolds (2009).
• I provide a list of videos/webpages that you can watch at the end of this You may watch 1-5 videos from the list, depending on their length.
• Compare two of the classroom videos
• Choose the video/webpage that have most attracted your attention and from which you can make more interesting comparisons.

 

Where can I observe classroom videos?

Here is a list of classroom videos (some with supporting webpages) on supporting multilingual learners you can select from. For some, you will have enough material from the same teacher/classroom to fulfill the 30-minute viewing. In other cases, you will not have 30 minutes of videos from one teacher, so you will need to observe a few different teachers.
