Annotated Bibliography and Literature Review

As an early childhood development professional, it is very important to stay abreast of quality practices and current research in the field so that you can create the highest quality learning experiences for your children and families. One way to stay current is by completing an annotated bibliography and literature review. Your annotated bibliography and literature review will focus on the three main themes we have covered so far in this course: culturally relevant methods, anti-bias curriculum, and diverse family structures. In addition, you will use these resources as support for your summative assignment, Multicultural Education Presentation

There are two parts to this assignment: an Annotated Bibliography and a Review of Literature

Part 1: Annotated Bibliography

 

Part 2: Literature Review

  • Analyze what you have learned based on your research. Your analysis might include common themes, definitions of key terms, key statistics, powerful quotes, summary of main ideas or major findings, conclusions learned, etc.
  • Describe the relevance and importance of this research to cultural diversity and cultural competence within early childhood development.
  • Examine how the information presented in the articles has changed your thinking about cultural diversity and cultural competence.
  • Summarize how the information from these articles will impact you in your career and how the research findings translate into real-world application.

Must use at least three scholarly sources in addition to the course text
