Hi Chi Minh

Ho Chi Minh was a Nationalist and a Communist. His goal was a unified and independent Vietnam. Evaluate the effectiveness of his message to motivate the Vietnamese people to make the sacrifices they did to bring about his vision. Is this a valid point: For many Vietnamese, their war with the United States was an absolute necessity, a continuation of a “no limit” struggle for independence already decades old; and it was fought as such. For the United States, the war was one of “choice,” and the very existence of the USA as a sovereign nation was not at stake.
