| A Comprehensive Examination of Critical Infrastructure (CIKR) Protection Paper
The student will complete a research paper on Critical Infrastructure (CIKR) Protection. The paper will include what critical infrastructure is and how the entire concept came about. The paper will include a discussion of all enabling and relevant policies, laws, Acts, and Directives. The National Infrastructure Protection Plan (NIPP) will be discussed in detail along with our National Preparedness Goal. Key concepts will be discussed. The sixteen CIKR sectors will be briefly discussed. The concepts of interdependency, resiliency, and security will be examined. The idea of “all hazards” will be explored. In addition to discussing all hazards, attention will be given to the specific threat of terrorism as it applies to CIKR. The current state of our overall CIKR will be examined. The paper will be exhaustive. The student will write at minimum a 7-full page paper in APA format. The paper must include at least 6 sources (which should include the class textbooks and readings). The paper will be submitted through SafeAssign. |
