Case Study Analysis:
Case learning is a method of applying theory to sound practical real world applications. Each selected case provides a description of a problem situation taken from a specific company. The purpose of each case is to augment the course content with applications that enable Learner to apply text materials to a problem and solve that application problem using Learner selected methods and procedures.
There are no exact answers or perfect solutions to case problems. Indeed, each recommended solution and justification can and is usually different comparatively amongst a group of respondents. The solution must fit the case and must be vigorously supported. The problem statement, analysis, selected solution, and especially the justification of the selected solution, are all critical elements in the case method. There are no short cuts to case presentations but a formalized methodology that enables the case presenter the optimal way to solve the case problem.

LEADER EXPERIENCES
Think about and select personal leadership experiences where you were the leader, or inspired by a leader. Using the ESSAY FORMAT, describe each incident thoroughly providing examples of your experiences, along with research to support your answers and conclusions. Be elaborate as to why you chose those experiences and what was gained in new values from your personal experiences. Provide personal insights and relevant observations of what were the lasting and indelible features you were able to retain and still use today in your daily life.

Write an 8 – 10 page paper that will summarize your beliefs about what it takes to be a real leader. Some of the topics you may address are:
1. What are the salient characteristics needed to influence the consensus of others and provide the types
of examples necessary to inspire tremendous performance?
2. What will you change personally to be a more effective leader and how will you go about making that
personal transition?
3. What measures will you use to benchmark your own progress?
4. What new routines will you use to increase your leadership skills?
5. What type of leader do you want to be and why will the new you do more than the current you as a
newly trained leader.
6. Spell out what this course has done to reaffirm and enlighten you as a leader and what specifically are
the “keepers” for you for the rest of your life.
