PART 2: 150 WORDS – PLEASE RESPOND TO THE DISCUSION POST BELOW SHARING WHETHER YOU AGREE OR DISGREE AD WHY

Three characteristics that demonstrate readiness to lead change are: Communication, having the ability to collaborate, and the ability to commit. Communication is a key factor in being ready for change because it gives the leader the opportunity to introduce change, discuss the change, and opens the floor for discussion in regards to the change. Having the ability to collaborate with employees really displays your leadership. A real leadership can accept criticism from others and work with others across the board. A collaborative leader also helps employees to step outside the box with their creativity. A leader should also have the ability to commit. As humans, we are not privy to change but its inevitable. Once change is embraced and the leader steps outside of their comfort zone, change can be successful and persistent.

Some behaviors that demonstrate the managers inability to properly lead change are: Not learning to adapt to changes and/or challenges, and lack of training. Leaders should be able to adapt to any changes or challenges that may come their way. After all, leaders are put in those positions because are successful at leading the charge. Another way a manager would fail at not properly leading change would be their lack of training in the area that may need the change. Asking questions and using resources will help managers to implement change successfully.
