Causes and Effects of Years of Violent Dispute and Terrorist Acts on Nation

Violence in opposition to leadership is not new, neither is violence as a foundation for the creation and building of nations. The United States was born of a revolutionary war and subsequent wars to establish the nation. The Civil War was waged over how that government would operate. Organized groups such as the Ku Klux Klan and individuals such as Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols espoused social change through violence. The same has occurred in nations around the world.
