Medical Ethics
The intent of the paper is to have students research a topic in medical ethics of personal interest, perhaps related to the specialty in which they are applying.
Paper Requirements:
- A single case from an ethical perspective.
- The paper must be 5 pages (not including title page and references).
- Must include a title and references.
- Must be written and referenced using the APA format.
Papers from previous years have included such topics as:
- Transfusing Jehovah’s Witnesses
- Protecting sexual partners of patients infected with HIV
- Conflicts among surrogate decision-makers
- Protecting confidentiality in adolescent patients
- Providing access to care among the poor.
