Part B: Developing the Teaching Plan (3-4 pages)
After reviewing the literature, each student will develop a teaching plan for an imaginary patient. The teaching plan should include:
* A clearly worded problem statement in concise language (2 sentences) (Congestive Heart Failure)
* Identification of learner needs, i.e. what are the learning needs of the client(s) and how they were assessed
* Identification of learner objectives/client(s) learning objectives (What do you want the learners to be able to do at the end of your teaching session?)
* An outline of the content to be discussed/presented to the client(s)
* A description of teaching strategies that you will use and the reasons that these teaching strategies were selected for use with these clients
* Identification of expected learning outcomes
* A plan for evaluation, i.e. how the teaching will be evaluated for effectiveness and a brief summary of the participant evaluations and the students self-evaluation
