Please read the instructions carefully and make sure everything is included. I have also pasted the link to the book. as the book will be one of the two sources. Do not use more than one outside source.
Part 1. Student creates or finds an optical illusion and pastes it into their paper. DO NOT use an example from the text, PPT, or class.
Part 2 is a minimum of 4-page paper (no penalty for going over), citing 2 references (one being your text), that explains the following:
1. a. How our brains process sensory information (neurons, transduction, nervous system, (parasympathetic, somatic) sensation, perception, eye parts, lobes of the brain, etc. Chapter 2 & 3).
b. The differences in brain processing that are occurring in your illusion and why it is happening (e.g. any theories mentioned in the text).
2. Which one of the six perspectives would you connect your illusion too? Why? Explain the perspective and how the illusion is an example of this.
3. What are the implications (why is this important) of what you learned about optical illusions? How does it impact one’s perceptions, behavior, and decision-making process?
4. How can you apply what you’ve learned from this illusion project about how your brain processes information and apply it to YOUR everyday life? Give a personal example.
