Writing Guidelines for Final Deliverable A Policy Brief following the Eightfold Path

Topic: For our policy brief we are exploring a consumer privacy policy similar to that of California’s

but applying it to New York. Many of the issues regarding consumer data privacy are similar for New

York and California therefore, it would make sense that New York would have a comparable policy,

but they currently do not. Senate Bill S6701A has been introduced in New York but has not been

passed yet. This brief would include information on why such a policy is needed for consumer privacy

and the potential downsides of implementing it.
